A palliative ward for families with children will appear in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Since 2021, the process of establishing palliative care has been quite confident in Sevastopol, and a palliative mobile team has appeared. Today, we understand that it is necessary, within the existing infrastructure, to provide more modern methods of organizing such care and have agreed that in the fifth hospital a separate room or separate ward will be created for families with palliative children, — quotes TASS Alexandra Kulagina.
As noted in the press service of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, parliamentarians discussed the issue of providing palliative medical care together with the head of the health department Vitaly Denisov, representatives of the department of labor and social protection of the city population. According to Kulagin, the deputies studied the experience of Crimea, the Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital, an autonomous non-profit organization that helps families in Crimea with children who have palliative status. To provide social assistance at home to such families in Sevastopol, including in matters of delivery of special food and medicines, the possibility of involving Sevastopol public organizations is being explored.
