A participant in the attempt on Oleg Tsarev's life was detained. This is the “coordinator”, and the “executor” is still being sought

FSB operatives detained an accomplice in the attempt on the life of ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev. The detainee confessed. This was reported by the Public Relations Center (PSC) of the FSB of Russia.

According to the results of the investigation, confirmed by witness testimony and video surveillance, the coordinator of the attempt on Tsarev O.A. is a 46-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation, a resident of Yalta, who, on instructions from the SBU, organized surveillance of Tsarev, equipped a cache in Yalta with weapons that were later used in the assassination attemptthe message says.

“The coordinator “was detained, he confessed about his cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine.

During a search at his place of residence, a ready-to-use improvised explosive device, components for making an IED, means of secret communication with Ukrainian curators, photographs of O.A. Tsarev, and diagrams of approaches to the places of his residence and work were found— reported the FSB Central Operations Center.

As the FSB emphasized, “targeted work to find the perpetrator of the assassination attempt and identify other persons assisting the Ukrainian special services continues«.

In the course of urgent investigative actions and operational search activities, irrefutable evidence was obtained of the involvement of the Ukrainian special services in the organization of this crime, indicating their use of methods comparable to the activities of international terrorist structuresthe message emphasizes.

In connection with the assassination attempt on Oleg Tsarev on the night of October 27 in Yalta, when an unknown person shot the politician twice, the FSB is investigating a criminal case under Art. 277 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“attack on the life of a state or public figure”).

In relation to Tsarev O.A. and his family members, the necessary security measures have been taken. There are currently no threats to his life, the victim’s health condition is satisfactorynoted the FSB.
