A pensioner from Sevastopol was charged with molesting a child.

The evidence collected by the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was recognized by the court as sufficient to convict a 64-year-old resident of Sevastopol. He was found guilty of other acts of a sexual nature against a person under 14 years of age (clause “b”, part 4 of article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigative department for the Gagarinsky district of the city of Sevastopol and the court found that on one day in July 2022, a man met children on the territory of Matrossky Beach, lured them to a deserted place, where he forced a 9-year-old girl to undress, after which he filmed her on his mobile phone. The next day, the attacker called the schoolgirl to meet with her again, after which the frightened girl told everything to her parents, who contacted law enforcement agencies.— reported in Sledkom.
In cooperation with the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, the pensioner’s involvement in criminal acts against a minor was established, and the suspect was detained and taken into custody.
During a search in the pensioner’s apartment, a mobile phone was found, during which forensic investigators, using forensic technology, recovered more than 2 thousand photos with child pornography that he had deleted. The investigation collected the entire complex of evidence, appointed and carried out the necessary examinations.
By a court verdict, the accused was found guilty of the charged crime and sentenced to 14 years in a maximum security correctional colony. The court’s verdict did not enter into legal force.
