A person who knows everything about holidays in Crimea spoke about how the holiday season 2023 is going

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko spoke about how the 2023 season is going in Crimea, about hotel occupancy, solving urgent logistical problems, measures to support the tourism industry. Big interview publishes Tourist portal of Crimea.

About hotel occupancy and discounts for tourists.

The average occupancy in Crimea is growing by several percent every day, today it is about 55%. The southern coast is loaded a little higher — about 65%, — the minister informed. – The peninsula has become the only resort region of the Russian Federation that has reduced prices in the 2023 season. At the moment, the cost of living in hotels and sanatoriums is approximately 30-40% lower compared to last year.

According to Vadim Volchenko, in recent years, the Crimean tourism industry has withstood many tests: this is a pandemic, and all kinds of blockades — logistics, information, water, and the main test that the whole country is going through today is a special military operation.

It is very important for the season to take place, for the so-called wings of the season to unfold, so that we can reach the year-round level of work as much as possible. This is possible due to many components — medical, health-improving, historical and cultural, natural, gastronomic and enogastronomic. According to the most conservative estimates, about 300 thousand people are connected with the tourism sector in Crimea. But the most important thing is to endure and accumulate strength for victory.— the head of the Ministry of Resorts of the Republic of Crimea is convinced

About logistical problems and their solution.

The key difficulty of this season remains the restriction of air traffic. In this regard, approximately 70% of the tourist flow was reoriented to road transport. According to Vadim Volchenko, about 7 thousand cars and buses arrive in Crimea every day, and on peak days this figure rises to 10 thousand, which, alas, leads to traffic jams on the Crimean bridge during inspection.

Together with the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, a number of mechanisms have been developed aimed at reducing the waiting time on the bridge, including an increase in the number of inspection posts. Also, based on the results of regular monitoring, a special infographic was developed, according to which the busiest days for entering Crimea are Sunday and Monday. But Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are almost green light. Therefore, we ask drivers to take this information into account. It is also important to fold your luggage compactly in order to get through the frames faster.the minister recommended.

The head of the Ministry of Resorts of the Republic of Crimea stressed that hoteliers are meeting the needs of car tourists who, due to traffic jams, cannot check in on time, and do not cancel bookings.

However, about 30% of travelers get to the peninsula by rail. Due to the increased demand, the carrier company increased the number of trains to Crimea.

At our request, 6 additional daily trains appeared from Moscow, which has become the main tourist hub. Unfortunately, there are no daily trains to Adler or Minvody, where air traffic is maintained, but this is due to the limited capacity of the railway. Therefore, logistics is the main difficulty. We don’t see any other problems.— said Vadim Volchenko.

About the new resort video channel.

As part of the Hospitable Crimea project, the Ministry of Resorts of the Republic of Crimea launched a video channel to show inspiring videos with cultural, historical and natural sights of the region in Crimean hotels and sanatoriums.

We launched the video channel in June. It is extremely important to show our guests all the tourist opportunities of the Crimea, immerse them in the diversity of the southern, eastern, western coasts, introduce them to the most striking sights. Now the project is at the stage of connecting accommodation facilities to the broadcast of the video channel, in the future it will expand both in terms of content and in terms of coveragethe minister shared.

Support for the tourism industry.

Once again, the Crimean tourism industry will receive unprecedented state support. Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs working in tourism will be charged 4 minimum wages for each employee, subject to maintaining the staffing level. The subsidy in the amount of more than 2.5 billion rubles will come from the reserve fund of the Russian government.

The Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are the only recipients of this support measure. It took place with the direct participation of the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov. Together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, we have been developing regulatory documents for several months, and just a few days ago, a corresponding resolution was adopted. The next mechanism is the adoption of procedures at the federal and republican levels, and within the next few weeks the subsidy will be brought to representatives of the tourism industry. Moreover, these are not only hotels and inns, but also transport, catering, trade, etc. enterprises. Later we will inform you when and how you can apply.— said Vadim Volchenko.

He recalled that last year more than half a billion rubles were allocated for the construction of modular hotels, improvement of beaches and tourism infrastructure. Until July 14, you can apply for a grant for the development of the beach area. And such programs, according to the minister, will be continued, because they have proven their effectiveness.

This year, 11 new modular accommodation facilities have been implemented with modern rooms located in interesting locations that are quite affordable. They are, for example, in Alushta, the Chernomorsky and Leninsky regions — where the construction of capital buildings is very difficult or even impossible. This is a prefabricated high-quality room stock that we need. This is 250 rooms, 1000 beds, about 100 jobs — this is what has been done to date— Vadim Volchenko emphasized.

About information support.

On the eve of the 2023 season, the Ministry of Resorts of the Republic of Crimea, together with the tour operator Intourist, organized a press tour for journalists from leading federal publications, bloggers and photographers to the most beautiful corners and popular display objects of Crimea. The total coverage of materials published as a result of the press tour, according to Medialogy, amounted to 42.6 million readers.

We will definitely continue to invite leading publications, TV channels of the country and bloggers to the peninsula, because Crimea needs information support. It is important to show our tourism potential, our attractions and the possibilities of the spa industry — new world-class hotels, wellness programs, as well as the course of the high season in the face of limited logisticsthe minister concluded.
