A physical sports event was held for preschoolers in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, at the Constellation Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance, an event was held for preschoolers using domestically produced robots, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. The children were introduced to physical sports, which combines elements of digital technology and classical sports.
We have very talented and capable children. They are well versed in new technologies and are already able to assemble and control robots. Even many adults cannot do this. Among them are future engineers, designers, astronauts, and designers. Thanks to the knowledge that we are now investing in them, our younger generation will glorify our country, bring it to a high level, and also make it one of the strongest in the world, — The press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the education department of the department of education and science, Evgenia Panasenko.
The teams underwent various sports tests. The kids showed their accuracy and dexterity in the “Hit the Target” test, and the traditional game “Hopscotch” temporarily became an obstacle course along which the children got to the target. The guys also built circuits for the robot crawler Pictomir.
Next, from the proposed parts, the teams had to assemble their real robot — Mabot, which then, under the control of the person in charge of the team, went through its own obstacle course.
In order for the child to develop comprehensively and not be limited to computer games and watching cartoons, we conduct such exciting and interesting events. We also conduct robotics classes on a systematic basis. Lessons allow the child to show ingenuity, logical thinking, and gain self-confidence. In the future, the child may become interested in programming or design. It will be easier for him to enter a technical university for specialties such as programmer, IT developer, or design engineer. I believe that these specialties will not lose their relevance and relevance in the coming years,” notes Marina Koshman, teacher of additional education at the Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance.
In addition to competitive competitions, the event was accompanied by musical performances. The dances “Robots”, “Russian Folk” and “Candy Children” were performed by the children of the senior group who attend the choreographic club “Entre”. The center’s teachers sang the song “We are proud of you, Russia.”
