In Bakhchisarai, the police opened a criminal case against a local resident for vandalism.

Having studied the video, published in one of the telegram channels on the Internet, the officers of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Bakhchisarai district, in cooperation with the Center for Emergency Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea and the regional FSB, identified and detained a young man who committed actions that desecrated a monument dedicated to the heroes of the Armed Forces forces of the Russian Federation participating in the Special Military Operation— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea

The detainee admitted his guilt and wrote a confession. In relation to the 23-year-old offender, the Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Bakhchisarai District initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Vandalism). «Manneken Pis» faces imprisonment for up to 3 years.
