A plein air tour of Pushkin’s places took place in Crimea as part of the project “You are beautiful, the shores of Taurida!”

Members of the Crimean Republican branch of the All-Russian creative public organization “Union of Artists of Russia” took part in a plein air tour of Pushkin’s places in Crimea as part of the cultural and educational project “You are beautiful, the shores of Taurida!”, dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin.

The group of artists who worked in the plein air under the leadership of the chairman of the department E. Molchanova-Dudchenko included experienced painters and graphic artists: A. Kropko, V. Shevchuk, A. Maksimenko, V. Chekanova, V. Korkishko, O. Lishaeva, A. Pavlenko , E. Verkhoshanskaya and M. Shevchuk-Chernogorodova.

The authors, having traveled almost the entire Crimea in the footsteps of the great poet, created more than 150 works of art during a nine-day plein air, the best of which will be presented at an exhibition in the visitor center of the Tavrida cave in Zuya in August 2024 and in September 2024 in the Count’s Palace M. Vorontsov in Simferopol. The artists reflected on their canvases the landscapes of Feodosia, Gurzuf, Partenit, Simferopol, Bakhchisaray, Kara-Dag and Ai-Petri, as well as the expanses of the Baydar Valleyreports the press service of the Crimean Ministry of Culture.

10 paintings created as part of the plein air will be transferred to the funds of cultural and educational institutions of the Republic, which will undoubtedly enrich the modern culture of Crimea.

The project is being implemented using a grant provided by the Russian Cultural Foundation OOO within the framework of the federal project “Creative People” of the national project “Culture”.
