“The world of art songs from the classics of the genre to the present day”: presentation of the collection “World Songs in Artek”. Under this name, on October 22, one of the brightest events of the Oleg Mityaev Foundation program took place with the participation of 150 children of the Kiparisny camp of the Artek MDC and the program teacher from the Oleg Mityaev Foundation Nelli Bubenkova.
The collection “World Songs in Artek” is a teaching aid for the Foundation’s program. The book was compiled under the guidance of People’s Artist of Russia Oleg Mityaev and Honored Cultural Worker of Russia Galina Khomchik and includes works by prominent representatives of the genre of different generations, works of interesting Ural authors, and Artek songs.
At the very beginning of the shift, the children became more familiar with the genre of the original song, singing in chorus songs from the collection: “How great” (lyrics and music by Oleg Mityaev), “Clouds” (lyrics and music by Vadim Egorov), “People walk around the world «(lyrics by Igor Sidorov, music by Roza Chenborisova) and others. We learned the song “Goodbye, dears” by one of the founders of the art song genre, Yuri Vizbor. We discussed with the teacher how important the text and its meaning are in an original song, as well as good vocals and guitar skills.
As part of the “Russian Art Song Marathon 2023-2024: everything real is for children”, using a grant from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Artek International Children’s Center and the Oleg Mityaev Foundation present an additional general development program and the VI children’s festival “World Songs (the world of art song )». The program consists of 27 hours of theoretical and practical classes (classes with a teacher from the Oleg Mityaev Foundation, master classes and concerts of invited artists — outstanding representatives of art song of different generations, children-to-children concerts, 1st round of the art song competition, workshops).
Traditionally, the program ends with the festival “World Songs in Artek”, November 4 – 6: the final of the children’s art song competition, awarding the festival laureates with honorary medals from the hometown of Russian damask steel and a unique engraving on steel Zlatoust, performance of the laureates in a joint concert with artists, concerts of invited artists.
The program and festival will feature a famous performer in the genre of art song, soloist of the “Songs of Our Century” project, Honored Cultural Worker of Russia Galina Khomchik (Moscow); duet of Vyacheslav Kovalev (St. Petersburg) and Sergei Grigoriev (Chelyabinsk); Natalya Kucher (Kaliningrad); Andrey Kramarenko (Moscow); Dmitry Khmelev (Moscow); Ramil Badamshin (Ufa); Ksenia Fedulova (Moscow).
