A program of repairs to local police stations has been launched in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Over the next two years, all precinct police stations in Sevastopol will be renovated. Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev announced this when he, together with the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, police colonel Sergei Sigunov, opened a local police station in Cossack Bay after a major overhaul. The event was also attended by the Dean of the Sevastopol Church District, Archpriest Sergius Khalyuta, employees and veterans of the internal affairs bodies.
There are 25 local police stations in Sevastopol. They haven’t been repaired for decades. But today the police face many challenges, and we must provide comfortable working conditions for the personnel. Therefore, we agreed with Sergei Viktorovich Sigunov that we would put things in order. The first was the point in Cossack Bay, we will make four more points by the end of the year, and the remaining 20 will be brought to a modern standard over the next two years– quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, police colonel Sergei Sigunov, noted the importance of providing comfortable working conditions for local police officers.
At local police stations, our employees receive citizens and work with minors. It is necessary to create decent conditions for them and for visitors, to equip the premises: the city is growing, and with it the load on the local police officers is growing. For example, the point that opened today will serve Cossack Bay and Fiolent, where about 65 thousand people live. Improving working conditions will ultimately have a qualitative impact on the work of all district police officers in the futurenotes Sergey Sigunov.
In total, there are 132 local police commissioners working in Sevastopol. On November 17 they celebrate their professional holiday.
