CrimeaPRESS reports:
As the Deputy Prime Minister said, the event took place from November 11 to November 18 inclusive.
Residents of the republic, representatives of state authorities and local self-government, teaching staff of Crimean universities, students, as well as members of the Board and Public Council under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea took part in the discussion.
The forum pages had a record number of visits — more than 29 thousand views (about 4 thousand for the discussion of the 2024-2026 budget). 1,530 Crimeans got acquainted with the documents and materials presented at the forum (388 during the discussion of the draft budget 2024-2026). Of these, 178 people took a direct part in the discussion of the draft budget, leaving a positive review or opinion in support of the bill, which was 2.4 times higher than the number of citizens who took part in the discussion of the Crimean budget 2024-2026.
Of the 26 questions asked, 54% related to issues of the social sphere, 27% related to clarification of upcoming budget expenditures on housing and communal services and roads, 19% touched on the topic of taxation and tax benefits, implementation of the budget process in the republic, including increasing the revenue base. All questions were answered comprehensively by financial department specialists.
Based on the results of the public discussion, it is gratifying to realize that mostly Crimeans noted that the draft budget of the Republic of Crimea for the upcoming three-year period is a budget for the development of the region’s economy for the coming period. It retains the social orientation of the state fulfilling its obligations to the population. The bill is presented in an accessible, colorful form, reflecting the objectives and directions of budget policy for the upcoming three-year period, taking into account the current needs of societynotes Irina Kiviko.
During the forum, Crimeans proposed increasing budget spending on culture and cinematography, and on social support from the Republic of Crimea for disabled citizens in terms of personalized payments to people over 75 years of age and social support for them in the form of services. Participants in the discussions also recommended considering the possibility of including additional costs for financing the facilities and events indicated in the protocols following the results of visits to the municipalities of the republic as part of the working trips of the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov.
We try to make every public discussion both on the draft budget and on the annual report on the execution of the republic’s budget as interesting as possible. And, of course, according to tradition, we have prepared colorful presentation And booklet “Budget for citizens. The draft budget of the Republic of Crimea for 2025 and for the planning period of 2026 and 2027” in bright colors, in the form of tables, graphs, pictograms, diagrams and markers, where all information about the upcoming budget was combined in the most concise and accessible form. Of course, such openness in providing information necessary for citizens for public discussion has a positive impact on the formation of a positive image of the executive authorities of the republic in the eyes of its residents, because it is for them that we work and try to make life in Crimea even better,” emphasizes Irina Kiviko.
The chief financier of Crimea added that the booklet is provided in printed form to deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, members of the Board and public council under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea, and is sent to the leading universities of the republic.
