A “quiet hunter” was detained in Sevastopol — it turned out that he was not looking for mushrooms in the forest
CrimeaPRESS reports:
While on the patrol route, employees of a separate battalion of the Vasily Buzin PPSP noticed a suspicious man in a forest area who had clear signs of drug intoxication. To a clarifying question from law enforcement officers, he replied that he was looking for mushrooms in the forest. But, as it turned out, the “quiet hunting enthusiast” had a completely different, illegal “harvest” with him. During a personal search, police officers found in a fanny pack belonging to the man three pill boxes containing synthetic drugs — more than 33 grams of mephedrone and about 8 grams of alpha-PVP. The detainee said that he purchased prohibited substances in a non-contact manner and planned to store them for personal use. Also, during a conversation with law enforcement officers, he admitted that he had managed to equip several caches of drugs and indicated their location. Police seized four plastic packages containing “synthetics” with a total weight of about 7 grams from the caches.— the details of the case were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
Police drug control officers established that the man, in order to improve his financial situation, illegally contacted several illegal drug markets with an offer of cooperation. After that, he began to earn extra money as a pawnbroker: he received prohibited goods through hiding places, packaged them at home himself, and, at the direction of anonymous curators, sold them through pawnbrokers.
Currently, investigators have opened a criminal case against the detainee under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “d”, part 4, art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum sanction is imprisonment for a term of ten to twenty years. During the preliminary investigation, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for the defendant.
Investigative actions aimed at documenting all episodes of the accused’s illegal activities continue.
