The police received a statement from a 28-year-old man about the theft of funds from a bank card, which he had lost the day before. The victim did not manage to block it in time; after logging into his personal account through the application, he discovered that more than 6 thousand rubles were missing from his account. Police officers traced the electronic trail of funds being written off and found that the stolen card was used to pay in various stores in the city.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

As a result of operational search activities, law enforcement officers identified and detained the suspect; she turned out to be a 56-year-old local resident. As a result of the investigation, it was established that the woman found a bank card on the street and took advantage of the opportunity for “easy money.” The attacker visited about 10 stores where she made purchases using a contactless payment method until the money on her bank card ran out.
