A regional conference dedicated to procurement was held in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At the regional conference “Discussion – dialogue with controllers. Control in procurement: what is important for the customer to know” was attended by representatives of control bodies in the field of procurement and the organizations themselves that carry out procurement in Sevastopol.
This conference is dedicated specifically to typical customer mistakes that controllers identify in order to subsequently eliminate them, conduct webinars, explain, and help in managing the customer’s procurement system. Today there are 330 customers in the hall. The discussion is planned to be full, customers sent questions— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy director, head of the public procurement department of the department for managing the affairs of the governor and the Government of Sevastopol, Irina Shchukina.
Among the guests of the conference are representatives of the department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the department of the Federal Treasury, the prosecutor’s office, the Chamber of Control and Accounts and others.
I consider such an event very significant when both regulatory authorities and representatives of organizations that carry out procurement in the city of Sevastopol can gather on one site. Here we can discuss practices, violations that are systematically committed, and convey to customer representatives what violations should not be allowed and what cases occur in our practice. I believe that this event will further reduce violations and subsequently reduce fines imposed on customerssays Vugar Mehdiyev, deputy head of the interregional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
Vugar Mehdiyev also noted that violations are completely different and each is considered by a commission that evaluates all the circumstances.
There are such violations when customers are required to provide a ten-day period for the contractor to eliminate the violations. However, this period is not provided, as a result of which the customers are already held accountable because they limited the rights of contractors in the execution of the contractthe specialist emphasizes.
