A regional office for the development of human resources in the tourism and hospitality sector is being formed in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The meeting took place with the participation of Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Secretary of the State Council of the Russian Federation Alexey Dyumin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development Sangadzhi Tarbaev, and Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov. From the Republic of Crimea, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko and the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Ganziy took part in the meeting of the Commission.
As Irina Kiviko noted, the issue of staffing the resort and tourism sector is something the republic is working on today. The launch of the Hospitality Industry Competence Center in the South of Russia, in Crimea, as one of the links in a comprehensive solution to the personnel shortage against the backdrop of job growth and growing investment in the tourism industry, will become a place for the republic and neighboring resort regions to form the necessary personnel reserve.
Thus, in connection with the active development of tourism in the neighboring Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, the creation of 4 out of 10 year-round resorts within the framework of the “Five Seas and Lake Baikal” project in the Republic of Crimea and adjacent entities, there is potentially a market for specialists in the field in these territories in the near future, according to the most conservative estimates will exceed 200 thousand people. In this regard, the possibility of creating a competency center for the hospitality industry in the south of the country within the framework of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality” will be an additional impetus in attracting personnel to the industry and will help increase the prestige of professions related to the hospitality industry.
As Sergei Ganzii noted, today at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, with the participation of the Head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, a number of ways to resolve this issue were discussed and adopted.
On behalf of the Head of Crimea, within a week the Ministry will prepare a roadmap for the formation of a staffing system for the industry. Currently, a regional project office is being formed in the Republic of Crimea for the development of human resources in the tourism and hospitality sector, the main goal of which is to analyze the needs of the labor market in the tourism and hospitality industry, formulate a forecast of the balance of personnel needs, and promote personnel training— said Sergei Ganziy.
Colleagues from other constituent entities of the Russian Federation presented their experience in solving some problematic issues that are relevant to all resort regions; the implementation of measures to ensure the activities of educational centers in the field of tourism was discussed within the framework of the Federal project “Improving management in the field of tourism.”
