A religious procession was held in Sevastopol in memory of the Exodus of the Russian Army from Crimea in 1920

These tragic events played an important role in the history of Russia and the emergence of the phenomenon of Russian Abroad. The ranks of the Russian Army and Navy who left Crimea formed the basis of organized Russian military emigration. With the blessing of Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, every year, on the day of the tragic events of the Russian Exodus, a procession of the Cross and a funeral litany are held in Sevastopol on the Count’s pier in memory of all those who died in those terrible days.
On November 17, Sunday, a religious procession of the clergy, Cossacks and city residents again passed through the streets of Sevastopol to remind the city of the tragic events of not a simple Russian Exodus, but the great Russian division — into “us” and “strangers”. At the head of the procession were the dean of the Central Church District, Archpriest Sergius Khalyuta, the dean of the Northern Church District, Archpriest Boris Kravets, the dean of the Chersonesos Church District, Archpriest Stefan Slomchinsky, and the clergy of Sevastopol.
At the Grafskaya pier, from where the last steamship with refugees set sail in November 1920, a funeral litany was served for the dead, those who died of wounds and the tortured of our compatriots.
