A resident of Armyansk was convicted of attempted murder of his friend

The “scenario” is well-known: they were drinking, they quarreled, and the “final argument” was used—a kitchen knife.

The Armyansk prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a local resident. The man was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder).

The court found that in February of this year, while drinking alcohol, a man came into conflict with an acquaintance and inflicted at least 5 blows to the victim’s vital organs with a kitchen knife. The attacker failed to complete his criminal intent, since the victim left the scene of the incident and was promptly provided with proper medical care— reported the prosecutor’s office.

The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 6 years in prison. The convict will serve his sentence in a maximum security correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
