The court found that the defendant joined a separate motorized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February 2022, having undergone special training, receiving a military uniform and firearms. Since this period, he has taken part in hostilities against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The actions of the defendant were detected by employees of the Russian FSB department for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

The defendant fled from the preliminary investigation authorities and was put on the international wanted list.
