CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Main Investigation Department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has charged a 51-year-old resident of Feodosia with the murder of a local resident, committed five years ago (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigation department for the city of Feodosia established that on the night of December 29, 2018, a drunk man, after a quarrel with his 65-year-old partner, entered her house in the village of Solnechnoye, stole money and, with a kitchen knife found there, stabbed her in the chest, from which the victim died on the spot. Realizing that he would be wanted, the attacker left the crime scene.
All these years, the accused was hiding in the territory of the Sudak urban district, working illegally so as not to come to the attention of law enforcement agencies. However, in the course of systematic work to solve crimes of past years, the location of the accused was established; he was detained in Sudak by employees of the territorial department of the patrol service— reported the Investigative Committee.
During interrogation, the man admitted his involvement in the crime, and while checking his testimony on the spot, he spoke about the circumstances of that day.
At the request of the investigator, the court took the accused into custody. The necessary examinations have been appointed and are being carried out, the circumstances of the murder of a resident of Feodosia and the events preceding them are being established in detail.
