A resident of Sevastopol is accused of causing death by negligence to his three-month-old son

According to the regional department of the Investigative Committee, the investigation of a criminal case against a 29-year-old resident of Sevastopol has been completed. He is accused of causing grievous bodily harm and death through negligence (part 1 of article 118, part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Investigation Department for the Nakhimovsky District established that on the evening of April 19, in an apartment at a house on Gorpischenko Street, a drunk man, after celebrating the birthday of his three-month-old son, lay down with him on the bed and crushed the baby in his sleep, blocking his air supply. The circumstances of the death of the child were revealed only in the morning by the mother, who was going to feed the child. Investigators also found that a few hours before the tragedy, in the absence of a mother, a drunken father dropped his son on the floor, from which the latter received serious bodily injuries.— reported in the Sledkom.
At present, the investigation of the criminal case has been completed. All necessary investigative actions have been taken. The criminal case was sent to the prosecutor’s office for the purpose of studying, signing the indictment and sending it to court.
The materials concerning the mother, who entrusted the child to the father in a state of alcoholic intoxication, were sent to the internal affairs bodies for a legal assessment.
