A resident of Sevastopol is accused of illegal possession of firearms

The prosecutor’s office of the Leninsky district of Sevastopol approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 55-year-old local resident, who is charged under Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession of firearms).
According to the inquiry, the attacker, not having a license to purchase and store firearms, illegally purchased a home-made revolver. The man did not hand over the weapon to the internal affairs bodies in the manner prescribed by law and continued to store it at his place of residence until the seizure by the police— reported the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
The criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor’s office is under consideration by the Leninsky District Court of the city of Sevastopol.
