A resident of Sevastopol paid a criminal fine in the amount of 500 thousand rubles. For what?

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A resident of Sevastopol, in collusion with other persons, was involved in the illegal organization and conduct of gambling, for which he was convicted under Part 3 of Art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to the court decision, the man was sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay a criminal fine as an additional punishment totaling 500 thousand rubles.

After serving three years out of five, the Sevastopol resident was released on parole, but was in no hurry to pay the criminal fine. In this connection, the bailiff of the bailiff department for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol initiated enforcement proceedings against the debtor. In turn, the citizen ignored the legal demands of the enforcement officer.

For untimely execution of a court decision, the bailiff issued a ruling against the debtor to collect an enforcement fee in the amount of 34 thousand rubles. But the Sevastopol resident still did not want to change his behavior, and then the bailiff of the bailiff department for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol applied enforcement measures against the debtor, namely: he arrested the bank accounts of the Sevastopol resident and temporarily restricted his right to travel outside Russia. After a short time, the man needed to go abroad for work matters, but he was unable to do this. Wanting to circumvent the restrictions as soon as possible, the Sevastopol resident paid the criminal fine and enforcement fee in full— reported in GUFSSP of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

Enforcement proceedings ended with actual execution.
