A resident of Sevastopol, who committed a robbery attack on an elderly woman, was sentenced to 8 years in prison

Agreeing with the position of the public prosecutor of the prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol, the court delivered a guilty verdict in a criminal case against a 65-year-old man of no fixed residence. He was found guilty under paragraph “c” of Part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery committed with the use of an object used as a weapon, with illegal entry into a dwelling, with causing grievous bodily harm to the victim).
It was established that on November 6, 2022, at night, a man in a state of intoxication broke into the house on the street. Dachnoy in the village Verkhnesadovoe against the will of a woman born in 1943 who lives there. There, he demanded money from the pensioner, and when he was refused, he hit her on the head with an ax, took the money from her bag and fled the scene of the crime. Attacker inflicted severe bodily harm on elderly woman— reports the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.
Law enforcement officers quickly located the attacker and detained him.
The Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor, sentenced the guilty person to 8 years in prison to be served in a strict regime correctional colony.
