A resident of Simferopol will answer for his «sexual tricks» on the Web and for blackmail

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 24-year-old resident of Simferopol. He is accused by the investigating authorities of a series of sexual offenses against minors.

The investigator of the Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases found that from May 2017 to September 2022, a man on social networks was looking for schoolgirls who shared their personal and sometimes candid pictures in correspondence. Blackmailing them with their subsequent public distribution, the attacker demanded the production of new, more explicit photos.— reported in the Sledkom.

During the investigation, 19 victims of the actions of the blackmailer were identified, most of them are residents of the peninsula.

The criminal facts were revealed by employees of the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, authorized to carry out operational-search activities in the field of information technology.

A resident of Simferopol was detained, he was charged with committing a number of especially serious crimes — forcing minors to commit other acts of a sexual nature by blackmail, committing indecent acts against more than two persons, videotaping minors for the purpose of producing pornographic materialsthe investigators said.

At the request of the investigator, the court took him into custody, where he is still being held.
