A resident of the Balaklava region will be held accountable for fictitious registration of foreign citizens

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of the criminal case against a 50-year-old resident of the Balaklava region. She is accused of a number of episodes of fictitious registration of foreign citizens at the place of residence in the Russian Federation (Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigative department for the Balaklava region established that at various periods in 2022, a local resident submitted false information to the migration registration authorities about the residence of several foreign citizens in her private house. On the basis of false documents, these persons were unreasonably registered on the territory of the Russian Federation. For each fictitious registration, the woman received from 1.5 to 3 thousand rubles.
Facts of the illegal activities of the defendant and the illegal stay of foreign citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation were identified and suppressed by the migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Balaklava region during preventive measures— reported the Investigative Committee.
The criminal investigation has now been completed. The accused admitted guilt in committing the incriminated crimes. The case materials have been sent to the prosecutor’s office for the purpose of studying, approving the indictment and further sending the case to court.
