CrimeaPRESS reports:
Details from Sledkom.
We have already talked about this high-profile crime told. The Sledkom revealed some details of the case of a murder committed in the Dzhankoy district in 1992.
The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol opened a criminal case against a 54-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Dzhankoy district, accused of committing murder (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
On the evening of January 27, 1992, a 24-year-old local resident left home, after which his relatives knew nothing about his whereabouts. Two weeks later, the body of a young man with signs of violent death was discovered in the Pobednaya River in the Dzhankoy district. The cause of death of the villager was multiple head injuries— said the Investigative Committee.
Let us note that at that time, law enforcement agencies brought in an acquaintance of his on suspicion of committing a serious crime (looking ahead, he was the killer), but he managed to avoid criminal liability.
Currently, as part of the systematic work to solve crimes of past years, investigators and forensic investigators of the Investigative Committee, together with colleagues from the police, organized work to establish the circumstances of the murder 32 years ago, during which irrefutable evidence was obtained of the involvement of that same resident of the Dzhankoy district in death of a fellow countryman.
It was established that that evening there was a domestic conflict between him and a 24-year-old young man, during which the attacker struck him on the head several times with a hammer, and took the body of the deceased on a sled to the river, where he threw it into the water.
The investigator of the investigative department for the city of Dzhankoy organized a competent work with the suspect, during which he confessed to committing a murder in previous years, and as part of an investigative experiment on the spot, he showed how he committed the crime— reported in Sledkom.
Currently, the work of investigators and forensic investigators continues to collect and consolidate the evidence base.
