A resident of the Krasnodar Territory tried to sell 3 kg of cannabis in Crimea

The Kerch City Court issued a guilty verdict in a criminal case against a resident of the Krasnodar Territory. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph «g» part 4 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs on a large scale).
During the consideration of the criminal case, the court established that a 50-year-old resident of the Krasnodar Territory arrived on the territory of the Republic of Crimea with more than 3 kg of cannabis for the purpose of selling narcotic drugs, which he intended to sell, but was detained by officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopolthe prosecutor’s office said.
Taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, as well as the full admission of guilt by the defendants, the court sentenced him to 5 years in prison to be served in a strict regime correctional colony. The verdict has not entered into force.
