A resident of the Saki district was sentenced to 6 years in prison for trying to work as a pawnbroker for narcotic drugs.

The Feodosia City Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced a resident of the Saki district of the Republic of Crimea for attempting to illegally sell drugs, committed using information and telecommunication networks (including the Internet), by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, on an especially large scale.
As established by the court, in July 2023, the defendant in the city of Simferopol of the Republic of Crimea, using his mobile phone, through correspondence on the global information and telecommunications network “Internet”, registered on the Internet platform “BlackSprut”, after which he paid an entrance fee in the amount of 25,000 rubles, which he transferred from a bank card that was not identified by the investigation to an unknown bank account, for the opportunity to work as a courier, whose duties included placing “bookmarks” with narcotic drugs in hiding places, photographing them with assignment of geographic coordinates and transferring these photographs to the curator for their further illegal sale, for which he had to receive payment in the amount of 1000 rubles for one “bookmark”noted the press service of the court.
After making the payment, following the instructions received from a person unidentified by the investigation, the defendant installed the Monal messenger on his mobile phone. Through the specified messenger, I contacted an unknown person with whom I entered into a criminal conspiracy aimed at the illegal sale of narcotic drugs using information and telecommunication networks (including the Internet) by a group of persons by prior conspiracy on a large scale.
After this, in August 2023, the defendant received from the above-mentioned unidentified person information about the location of storage of a substance with a total mass of at least 79.10 g, containing the narcotic drug mephedrone (4-methylmethcathinone), in the area of the village of Pionerskoye, Feodosia city district, Republic of Crimea . After which the defendant followed the indicated coordinates, and at the indicated place he removed the substance, which was packaged in a polymer bag. The defendant took the said package and kept it with him in order, at the direction of the above-mentioned unidentified person, to place them in caches in the form of bookmarks on the territory of Feodosia for the purpose of further sale. However, in the area of the solid waste landfill in Feodosia, near the turn to the village of Pionerskoye, Feodosia city district, Republic of Crimea, a young man was detained by police officers on suspicion of committing an administrative offense; during a personal search, the specified package was confiscated from him.
At the court hearing, the defendant admitted his guilt in the crime.
When sentencing, the court took into account information about the defendant’s personality, the presence of mitigating circumstances, and the absence of aggravating circumstances.
Taking into account the circumstances of the case, the court sentenced the young man to 6 (six) years of imprisonment without a fine and without deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities, serving the sentence in a high-security correctional colony.
The verdict did not enter into legal force.
