Employees of the Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Simferopol district during the operational-search measures stopped the illegal activities of a 43-year-old local resident who planned to sell a batch of narcotic vegetable origin of their own production.
On the territory of private households in the economic building of the detainee, the investigators found and seized 20 bushes of gray-green plants with a specific smell with signs of cultivation. According to the attacker, he grew plants to the stage of ripening for the purpose of further implementation. He systematically looked after them, watered and created favorable conditions for their growth with the help of special lamps and substances to stimulate growth. Experts found that the studied is the plants of the hemp (genus cannabis),-voiced the details of the case in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Crimea.
The department of inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Simferopol district instituted a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «illegal cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances or their precursors.» The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 2 years.
