A resident of the Simferopol region has a moped confiscated for drunk driving

In Crimea, a court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a 33-year-old resident of the Simferopol region. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving another mechanical vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication subject to administrative punishment for driving a vehicle while intoxicated).
The court found that the defendant, having previously been brought to administrative responsibility, did not have the right to drive a vehicle, was driving a Viper Active moped, after which he was stopped by traffic police officers in the village of Skvortsovo in a state of drug intoxication and removed from driving the said vehicle.— reported the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced the perpetrator to 200 hours of compulsory labor with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 2 years. The Viper Active moped belonging to the defendant was confiscated to the state.
