FSB operatives detained a resident of Yalta for calling for violence against Russians. This was reported to the regional FSB Directorate.
A 42-year-old Crimean citizen published text entries on Telegram containing… calls for violent action against a group of people identified on the basis of nationality (Russians)— reported the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
A criminal case has been opened regarding public calls for extremism (Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The man has so far been released on his own recognizance, but the investigation is ongoing; the “online extremist” faces imprisonment for up to five years.
