CrimeaPRESS reports:
The prosecutor’s office of the city of Yevpatoria approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 46-year-old local resident. He is charged under Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate destruction of someone else’s property, committed by arson).
According to the investigation, in December last year, while intoxicated, due to personal hostility, the accused doused the victim’s garage with gasoline and set it on fire. As a result of the actions of the accused, the garage structure and the Mazda 3 car parked in it were damaged by fire. The amount of damage caused to the victim amounted to 170 thousand rubles— reported the prosecutor’s office.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Yevpatoria City Court for consideration on the merits. A pyromaniac faces a fairly serious punishment — up to 5 years in prison.
