A resort and recreation complex will be built on the Northern side of Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Architectural and Art Council, chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, considered 11 issues today. One of them concerned the project of a resort and recreational complex on the North Side. The representative of the Sevastopol Stroyproekt company Alexander Novikov noted that there were a large number of abandoned objects and spontaneous dumps in this area. Already, the site has been cleared of debris, and a safe passage for residents to the beach area has been organized. The investor plans to build a world-class multifunctional complex, social facilities, including a rehabilitation center for children, as well as improve the beach and make a single promenade line while maintaining accessibility for everyone. An important component of the project will also be the creation of parks, sports areas and playgrounds. It is important that all objects will be available not only for tourists, but also for all residents of Sevastopol

Building area — 9.8 hectares. The project provides for the placement of ten 16-storey buildings, two-level underground parking lots, a 10-storey hotel building with a large conference hall for 160 rooms, a commercial building, a boiler house, a transformer substation, children’s and public playgrounds. All buildings are designed taking into account fire safety and urban planning legislation— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Alexander Novikov.

In addition, the project developer reported that the green spaces that grow on the site will be preserved as much as possible, and they will harmoniously fit into the improvement of the territory. Additional abundant landscaping of the territory will also be carried out. The investor will improve the beach and maintain it. It is very important that the beach area will remain free access for all residents.

Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev noted that there were no such projects in Sevastopol yet.

The north side is a potential place for the development of the industry. 15 billion investments will be invested in this project. This is a new point of attraction for both people and businesses. This is extremely important, as it will greatly affect the city’s economy.— emphasizes Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The representative of the investor, Sergey Karyakin, emphasized that the territory would be open to all residents.

We emphasized that the North side should be developed. Even at the start of the project, we discussed with the city that our beach promenade would be connected to a part of the city promenade and would be completely open. This complex will require more than 450 people to serve — these are new jobs for the local population and additional revenues to the budget— said Sergey Karyakin.

Of course, now the state of this territory is very bad. The implementation of this project means investments, economic development and jobs. It will breathe life into the North side, because apart from the Uchkuevka park there is practically nothing there now, and these are development prospects— says the opinion of a member of the architectural and artistic council, an expert in the field of design and construction, Lyudmila Bordenyuk.

The project of the resort and recreational complex on the North Side was approved by a majority vote of the members of the architectural and artistic council.
