266,676 people voted for Vladimir Putin — this is 92.60%. After processing all the protocols, the turnout for the elections of the Head of State was 81.79%. A total of 288,841 voters took part in the voting.

The results of the voting were commented on by regional leaders.

Crimea has made its choice. We voted for the future, for development, for Victory… This high result speaks for itself — we never doubted the correctness of the choice made in 2014, no sanctions or efforts of Western politicians forced the Crimeans to change their minds…

The electoral process was as open, democratic and competitive as possible. Security was ensured at a high level. All the plans of our enemies have failed. Crimeans showed unity, high civic activity, responsibility and patriotism. Thank you, fellow countrymen!

I would like to say special, most sincere words of gratitude to everyone who ensured the security of the process, to all members of the election commissions. You have done a great job. Let’s move forward together. Long live Russiasaid the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov.

I had no doubt that there would be such a result. Sevastopol is always Vladimir Putin’s ZA! These three election days were essentially a demonstration of the unity of Sevastopol residents and support for our national leader. We never doubted our choice and that Russia can only have a future with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,” said Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
