A schoolboy from Sevastopol is a winner of the International Competition «Tell the world about your Motherland»

The results of the V International contest «Tell the world about your Motherland» have been summed up. Roman Batrak, a student of the Sevastopol school No. 25 named after Captain M.S. Drapushko, was among the winners. He took second place in the nomination “Video clip “Tell the world about your Motherland” in the age category “Children aged 8 to 11 years”.
“Tell the world about your homeland” is a competition aimed at the patriotic education of children and youth, the formation of a feeling of love and respect for the native land among the younger generation, as well as the development of friendly interethnic relations. As part of the competition, participants choose the moments that are most interesting for them from the life of the country and tell their compatriots and peers abroad about them in the format of a video or presentation with a mandatory translation into a foreign language.
Sevastopol from early childhood brings up patriots of the small motherland, patriots of our great country. In Sevastopol, every child loves the Hero City, takes care of its cultural and historical heritage, understands the price of peace on earth, and is grateful to great-grandfathers for the Great Victory. The competition is organized by the autonomous non-profit organization «Innovative Center for the Development and Education of Children and Youth» together with the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children.
5,719 people from 89 regions of Russia and 35 countries submitted their works to the 5th International Competition “Tell the World About Your Homeland”.
The winners of the competition were determined by the members of the expert council and the honorary jury. The jury included the curator of the project “Tell the world about your homeland” from MSGU Tatiana Ananyina, director of the information and press department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, deputy chairman of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society and human rights Irina Kirkora, executive director of the foundation “ Russian World” Vladimir Kochin, head of the executive committee of the public movement “Popular Front “For Russia” Mikhail Kuznetsov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children Nina Ostanina, chairman of the public movement “Mothers of Russia” Valentina Petrenko, deputy head of the federal agency «Rossotrudnichestvo» Dmitry Polikanov, Deputy Director of Rospatriottsentr Ivan Radko. The Expert Council included university professors, teachers and school directors, heads of children’s and youth organizations, media representatives, government and public figures, deputies — a total of 180 people from 94 cities of Russia and 4 countries.
Over the entire period of the Tell the World About Your Motherland competition, participants have submitted more than 9,550 entries from 89 Russian regions and 52 countries. The works of the winners are published on the Internet, are shown at the sites of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the RIA Novosti news agency, the Russian Academy of Education, the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, the Moscow State Pedagogical University, the State Russian Museum, the Russian Academy of National Economy and the State services under the President of the Russian Federation, the public organization «Business Russia», a network of Moscow libraries.
