A series of international bogatyr competitions will be held by the International bogatyr movement «The Strongest Nation in the World» worldstrongestnation.ru together with the Strongman Federation of Russia with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. Strongmen will lift 200-kilogram stones, tow multi-ton equipment, perform high-speed relay races weighing more than 400 kg, and much more.
All tournaments will be held according to the international rules of the sport «strongman», the competitions are coordinated with the International Federation «World Strongman».
As part of the series: International heavyweight team tournament on June 11 in Tula, World Cup up to 110 kg on July 1 in Moscow, international personal tournament on August 5 in Omsk. The series will be completed by the All-Russian tournament «People are stronger than machines» in Sevastopol in October, where the strongest people of Russia will «oppose» various civil and military equipment.
The strongest athletes of the country will compete on the Russian side, according to the performance rating for 2022, they will be opposed by the strongest athletes from Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries.
Recall that the International Olympic Committee and most international sports federations have limited the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes. Therefore, holding international competitions with the participation of Russians without a ban on the use of the flag and anthem of Russia is a serious contribution to maintaining the prestige of the country. Especially when it comes to competitions among the most powerful athletes in the heroic qualities traditionally respected by the Russian people — strength and power.
The purpose of organizing such competitions is to strengthen friendship between peoples, demonstrate the maximum power capabilities of a person, as well as overcome sanctions and restrictions against Russian sports. Representatives of the participating countries will perform under their own flags and their own anthem, including Russians.
There is another important task set by President Putin. As the President noted at a meeting with representatives of culture and education, «Batman is known, but some of our heroes are not.» One of the goals of the grant project «The Strongest Nation in the World» is to oust hostile or alien media and cultural images by popularizing our own, domestic characters, including epic and modern heroes.
President of the organization Mikhail Paller: “The idea of creating the heroic movement “The Strongest Nation in the World” was personally supported by Putin in 2020 and 2021, now it is a powerful, dynamically developing all-Russian public organization. Now the Russian heroes are ready to carry out other tasks set by the President!”
