A Sevastopol resident, a combat veteran, was awarded medals for his participation in a special operation.

Every day, Sevastopol men swear allegiance to the Fatherland and selflessly stand up to defend their country. One of them is volunteer Eduard Kotelevsky.

I didn’t doubt for a second that I would take part in the special operation: when I saw that the Nazis were destroying cities, hiding behind women, children and old people, I couldn’t stay away. He volunteered while in reserve. I’m a reserve officer. For four months he was the commander of the Vepr assault company. The fighting took place in the Lugansk and Donetsk directions. For participation in a special military operation, Eduard Yuryevich was awarded many medals and nominated for the Order of Courage.

The most expensive is the medal “810th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet.” This is a medal from a legendary unit that, with its courage and bravery, proved what the Marine Corps is all about. It was presented to me at the Veterans Council, because at one time I also served in the 810th. Another important award for me is the medal “For the Liberation of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.” With this medal, the people themselves thanked me for participating in the liberation of Russian lands.says the soldier.

Now Eduard Yuryevich is the social coordinator of the branch of the state fund “Defenders of the Fatherland”. He admits that he was once helped here and sent for rehabilitation after being wounded. Now it was his turn to help his comrades.

In addition, as a representative of the foundation, the man is involved in the patriotic education of youth.

I tell the guys about myself, about the special operation. I always tell the truth. The younger generation should know the history of their country. I tell them how important it is to be together, to appreciate and love our Motherland, – he notes.
