A Sevastopol resident stole a TV from his neighbor. But then I got scared

It was previously established that a 40-year-old Sevastopol resident, who had been repeatedly convicted of property crimes, noticed the absence of his neighbor’s house in the evening and decided to secretly pay a visit.
Using a ladder, the man entered part of the owner’s territory, pressed open a plastic window and stole a TV worth 35 thousand rubles from her apartment. After the theft, the burglar was afraid that he would be caught and called his neighbor, making up a story that he stopped the intruders trying to rob her and wanted to return her property. Returning home, the woman did not believe her neighbor’s story and called the police.— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
As a result of operational search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Gagarinsky district detained a suspect.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under paragraph “a” of Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to six years.
