A Sevastopol resident was detained in Feodosia with drugs

While patrolling on one of the streets of the city of Feodosia, the attention of traffic police inspectors was attracted by a man standing on the side of the road, who, seeing the approaching police officers, threw packages with an unknown substance onto the ground.

An investigative team was called to the scene. 49 bundles were seized and sent for examination, and the citizen was taken to the police department to clarify the circumstances. According to the examination, the seized substances are the narcotic drug “N-methylephedron” — “Salt” with a total weight of 20.39 grams. The detainee was a previously convicted 38-year-old resident of Sevastopol, who explained that he purchased prohibited substances via the Internet. He took the first bookmark to Sevastopol, and for the second he came to Feodosia, where he found bundles of drugs in a cache,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

The attacker planned to use part of the discovered drug personally, and sell part of it in the city of Sevastopol.

The Investigation Department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Feodosia opened a criminal case against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 hours 4 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted illegal sale of drugs on a large scale.” The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison. The suspect was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.

Employees of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Feodosia urge citizens to submit information about facts related to drug trafficking to the police by calling 102.
