A Sevastopol resident will serve 8 years in prison for attempting to sell drugs on a large and especially large scale.

Having agreed with the position of the state prosecutor of the prosecutor’s office of the Gagarinsky district of Sevastopol, the court convicted the 29-year-old local resident.
He was found guilty of committing 10 crimes under Part 3 of Art. 30, hh. 4, 5 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, using the Internet, organized by a group, on a large and especially large scale).
In November 2023, through electronic correspondence in an Internet messenger, the man entered into a criminal conspiracy with an unidentified person, the materials in relation to whom were separated into a separate criminal proceeding. The attackers developed a plan aimed at the systematic illegal sale of drugs in the territory of Sevastopol. For the purpose of its implementation, in January and April 2024, the convict purchased the narcotic drugs a-PVP and mephedrone with a total weight of almost 250 g, transported them to his apartment on the street. Pravda in Sevastopol, where it was packaged into smaller quantities for the purpose of further sale to drug addicts,” reported the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
The criminal activity of the attacker was stopped by officers of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol on April 24. On this day, the man left his house, carrying packages with single doses of the drug, in order to equip a new series of hiding places in the city, but was detained and subsequently placed in custody.
The Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the perpetrator to 8 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony.
