The applicant said that in August of this year, a man was seen on surveillance cameras who, taking advantage of the seller’s absence, stole low shoes worth about 8 thousand rubles from a shelf.
As a result of operational search activities, criminal investigation officers from OP No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” established the identity of the suspect. He turned out to be a 41-year-old resident of Simferopol, previously convicted of theft, who was detained and taken to the police department, where he confessed. The attacker said that he sold the stolen property to an unknown person at the local market for 2 thousand rubles. The man was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place. The investigator of OP No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The perpetrator faces up to two years in prison.
