A Simferopol resident put an equal sign in the formula: stolen low shoes = imprisonment

CrimeaPRESS reports:

However, this is not the first time for him.

The administrator of a chain clothing store contacted police department No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Simferopol with a statement about the theft of men’s low shoes. The applicant said that in August of this year, a man was seen on surveillance cameras who, taking advantage of the seller’s absence, stole low shoes worth about 8 thousand rubles from a shelf.

As a result of operational search activities, criminal investigation officers from OP No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” established the identity of the suspect. He turned out to be a 41-year-old resident of Simferopol, previously convicted of theft, who was detained and taken to the police department, where he confessed. The attacker said that he sold the stolen property to an unknown person at the local market for 2 thousand rubles. He spent the proceeds for his own needs.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

The man was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place. The investigator of OP No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The perpetrator faces up to two years in prison.
