A Simferopol resident stole several electric scooters during the day. “Took away” from the entrances

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Over the past 24 hours, four citizens have contacted the Simferopol police about the theft of their electric scooters, the total cost of which was more than 140 thousand rubles.

The police immediately began searching for the suspect. Employees of the criminal investigation department of police department No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol, together with colleagues from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol, as a result of operational search activities, detained a 29-year-old local resident. It was established that the suspect, wearing a camouflage uniform and hiding his face with a balaclava, entered the entrances of apartment buildings in one of the city districts in search of electric scooters, which careless residents left on the landings without anti-theft devices. Thus, the attacker managed to steal four vehicles, however, despite the disguise, the man was detained by the police. — reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

All stolen electric scooters were returned to their rightful owners.

A criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The defendant was given a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place.
