A St. Petersburg resident was detained in Crimea for storing almost half a kilo of drugs in a safe deposit box.
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, employees of the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Yalta, during operational search activities, established that a 49-year-old resident of St. Petersburg arrived in the Republic for the purpose of selling drugs. The man ordered a prohibited substance in advance in one of the instant messengers, took it from the cache and placed the criminal goods for safekeeping in a safe deposit box.
From the depository, police seized about half a kilogram of synthetic drugs, packaged in doses in separate zip bags. According to the expert opinion, the substance submitted for research is a derivative of “N-methylephedrone” or the so-called “salt”— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
According to the police, the attacker created his own online store to sell the deadly potion.
During a search at the suspect’s place of temporary residence and in one of the hiding places, operatives found and seized 112 cartridges, which, according to the examination, were made in a homemade manner. A pistol with changes made to the design, which is suitable for firing shots, and more than 190 grams of mephedrone were also found, which was confirmed by research,” the police clarified.
The investigative units of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Yalta have initiated criminal cases against the suspect under Part 1 of Art. 222, part 3 art. 30 and parts 4, 5 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to current legislation, an attacker may face a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 15 years to life imprisonment.
