A storm warning has been issued for February 17 and 18 in Crimea. Strong wind expected

The Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a storm warning about dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena in the Crimea on — 15 February. In particular, in the afternoon and until the end of the day of February, as well as during the day 18 of February, it is expected on the peninsula strengthening of the southwest wind (with the transition to the northwest) to 15-15 m/s, gusts up to 15 m/s are possible. In addition, rain is predicted for 15 February, during the day in the mountains with snow, in the central, southern, eastern regions and in the mountains very heavy precipitation.

Under these conditions, there is a high probability of emergency situations associated with accidents at energy facilities, housing and communal services, an increase in the number of traffic accidents, violations of transport communication, difficulties in the movement of vehicles on roads, long descents and ascents, dangerous turns and mountain passes. Flooding of territories is possible , — noted in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.

It is emphasized that there is a threat to the life and health of the population due to the possible fall of billboards, trees, weakly reinforced structures and possible breaks in power lines. There is also a possibility of accidents in the waters of the Black Sea, the Sea of ​​Azov and the Kerch Strait. The presence of people in the coastal zone, on piers and shore protection structures is life-threatening.
