A storm warning has been issued in Crimea for November 21, 23 and 24

According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, due to the passage of cold frontal sections during the day and until the end of the day on November 21, during the day on November 23, at night on November 24, rain is expected in Crimea, in some places very heavy, turning into sleet in the evening of November 23 .
November 21, November 23, at night November 24, strengthening of southwestern winds with transition to northwestern winds of 25-30 m/s. On November 24, the air temperature will drop sharply by 12-14° and will be: 0-5° below zero at night, 1-6° warm during the day.
The wave height in the western waters of the Black Sea will reach 3-3.5 meters, in the south-eastern waters of the Black Sea 1.5-2.5 meters, in the waters of the Azov Sea 1.3-2.0 meters.
On the rivers of Crimea, water levels are expected to rise by 0.3-0.8 meters, without reaching dangerous levels.
Under these conditions, there is a high probability of emergencies associated with accidents at energy facilities, housing and communal services, an increase in the number of road accidents, disruptions in transport communications, obstruction of vehicle traffic on roads, long descents and ascents, dangerous turns and mountain passes. Flooding of areas is possible.
There is a threat to the life and health of the population due to the possible fall of billboards, weakly reinforced structures, trees and possible broken power lines.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea recommends following safety measures:
- exclude access to mountainous forest areas;
- do not go to embankments and bank protection structures;
- pay attention to the condition of drainage systems, drainage channels, storm drains, and cleaning storm sewers from debris;
- limit your stay in the immediate vicinity of river beds, including dry ones.
- We recommend that the population living in close proximity to water bodies and in areas of dry riverbeds take measures to preserve their property.
- Drivers of vehicles, if it is impossible to limit travel, be extremely careful on the road, do not exceed the speed limit and strictly follow the traffic rules.
In bad weather, pay special attention to the safety of children and the elderly, and be attentive to others. In case of emergency, you must call: “112” — a single rescue phone.
