A story from Sevastopol about how a “sudden dispute” can end in robbery

Sevastopol police detained a suspect in the robbery of a local resident. According to the city Department of Internal Affairs, the attacker was previously prosecuted for intentionally causing harm to health, violating the inviolability of the home and robbery.
It was previously established that at night a 48-year-old man was walking towards the ferry crossing and along the road, in the area of the square of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Fleet, he had a sudden argument with a passer-by. During the conflict, the stranger hit him, knocking him down, openly stole his wallet, which contained 15 thousand rubles, using force, and disappeared. The attacker spent the stolen money on entertainment and alcohol— told the police.
As a result of operational search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs in the Leninsky district detained a suspect. He turned out to be a 32-year-old local resident. The investigative department of the Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case against the detainee under paragraph “g” of Part 2 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Robbery”), he faces up to 7 years in prison.
