In Sevastopol, the investigation of a criminal case against a student of one of the city’s universities has been completed. He is accused of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving a bribe to an official through an intermediary for committing knowingly illegal actions).
The investigation established that in March of this year, the defendant, through the engineer of the department, who acted as an intermediary, transferred to the teacher 25 thousands of rubles for closing examination debts. The criminal actions of the accused were revealed by employees of the UEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol and the Service in the city of Sevastopol of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol , the Investigative Committee reported.
Criminal cases against the teacher and his subordinate, initiated earlier on the fact of receiving bribes from students, were sent to court. At present, a guilty verdict has been passed against the engineer of the department, the criminal case against the teacher is being considered in court.
During the investigation of the criminal case, evidence was collected confirming the involvement of the accused in the commission of the crime. In this connection, the criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
