A suspect in attempted drug trafficking was detained in Yalta

Employees of the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yalta established the involvement of a 27-year-old local resident in activities related to drug trafficking.
At the suspect’s place of residence, investigators conducted an inspection, as a result of which they discovered and seized packaging material, the attacker’s mobile phone, in which over 180 photographs were found with the coordinates of places of caches with narcotic substances. Detectives from the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yalta, together with the suspect, inspected areas of the area, according to the coordinates found in the attacker’s mobile phone. As a result of operational activities, police officers discovered and seized 18 packages allegedly containing narcotic drugs, — reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
According to the attacker, the samples found were drugs that he planned to sell via the Internet by setting up hiding places in the city.
According to the expert opinion, the materials submitted for research contain narcotic drugs: cannabis resin (hashish oil) with a total weight of 18.56 grams and a derivative of N-methylephedrone (salt) with a total weight of 2.95 grams.
An investigator of police department No. 3 “Massandra” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 hours 4 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempt at the illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, on a large scale.” The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 20 years. The attacker was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
