A suspect in beating a man was detained in Sevastopol

The duty department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Gagarinsky district received a message from the city hospital that a 44-year-old local resident had been admitted to the emergency department with head injuries.
The police established that at night the victim was in one of the city’s entertainment establishments in the company of friends. After going outside, he noticed an unfamiliar girl and decided to show her attention. Another bar visitor did not like this and a verbal altercation ensued between the men, during which the stranger punched his opponent in the face. Due to the blow he received, the man could not stand on his feet and fell, hitting his head on the curb. Passers-by who witnessed the incident called an ambulance to the scene.— the details of the incident were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
As a result of the measures taken, operatives detained the suspect. He turned out to be a 20-year-old local resident who confessed to his crime.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm”, he faces up to eight years in prison.
