A suspect in the theft of property from two private houses in Crimea was detained in the Moscow region.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, together with colleagues from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow, as a result of a complex of operational search activities, established the identity and location of a 26-year-old resident of Crimea, suspected of property crimes committed in the Simferopol region of the republic, and with force support The Russian Guard detained him in Mytishchi, near Moscow, where he temporarily lived. This is reported by MIA MEDIA.
According to the police, the man is involved in two thefts from private households. He committed one of them in the fall of last year, stealing cash in the amount of 140 thousand rubles from a home, and carried out the second illegal act at the beginning of this year, taking from another house a safe in which money and gold items were stored for a total amount of 500 thousand rublessaid law enforcement officers.
In relation to him, the investigation of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Simferopol region initiated criminal cases under parts 2-3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Before a preventive measure was chosen, the defendant was detained under Article 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. The investigation is ongoing.
