A suspect in the theft of someone else's property was detained in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
It was established that in the evening, a 30-year-old local resident parked his car near the house, but forgot to close the rear window all the way. A 43-year-old passerby took advantage of this, noticing the slightly open window and the bag inside. When the attacker tried to open the car door, the alarm went off, but he carried out his plan to the end — he grabbed the bag with money and ran away, despite the screams of neighbors who noticed the robber. The owner of the car also ran out into the street and chased him, but failed to catch the attacker. The total amount of damage was four thousand rubles.
As a result of operational and investigative activities, the criminal investigation department officers of OP No. 1 «Severnoye» of the OMVD of Russia for the Nakhimovsky District managed to identify and detain the suspect, who fully admitted his guilt and voluntarily returned the stolen property.
A criminal case was opened against the detainee by the investigation department under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Robbery». The article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for up to four years.
